Pitaara is a two-day virtual gathering of young learners under the age of 18 coming together to share their gifts and presence with each other. This space will give each of them an opportunity to forge new friendships and begin fresh journeys together.

We look forward to holding some exciting workshops on a range of topics from composting, coding etc and co-create a body of facilitators sharing their skills with us.

This gathering allows collaboration between individuals and families from
various walks of life who believe and support children to create their own
learning joys and moments. It’s designed in the spirit of freedom, choice and emergence, as we believe each participant is a treasure chest of talent, stories and skills.

There will be a lot of open space for children to self-organise in groups, co-create their own agendas, spend time having conversations, experiments, playing games, explore music, dance, art, cooking etc. 
The gathering seeks to engage the heart, hands, head of these young learners who are re-imagining the ways we learn and grow. 

 

Also, families are invited to assist our young learners wherever needed

Event Structure:

 

• Entire two days will be divided into 3-4 slots

• During each slot, there will be 3-4 sessions taking place parallely in different zoom rooms.

• All the sessions will be visible on the Live Open Sacred Treasure (OST)
  calendar.

• People are free to join any session they find exciting.

• Additionally, interested participants can offer to host a workshop/session by signing up using the google form. The board will be open to all participants before and during the event.

• If you would like to host a workshop, you can fill this form and we will get in touch with you to assist plan the session and put it on Live OST form. 

• The unconference will start at 10:30 am on June 1st and will continue until 6:30 pm on June 2. This is the first virtual unconference of its kind, so we look forward to witnessing how it emerges.

Contribution:

The Pitaara meet is organised in the spirit of gift culture (pay from your heart).

The suggested contribution for the event is INR 1000. You can contribute whatever you are able to from your heart. We whole-heartedly invite you to participate in the event and lack of money should not deter you from attending. Your valuable contribution will help support SDLA events, our facilitators and any current social issue (COVID 19).

 

Preparing for the gathering:

As mentioned above, this event is hosted using Zoom platform and Live OST board. To be prepared for the meet, we would advise you to : 

​

• Download Zoom on your device - phone, laptop etc. We would advice that you join the event using a laptop or a desktop for smoother experience. 

• If you are using Zoom for the first time, host a call with a friend or join a small meeting to test it and understand its working.

Our kids' committee is coming up with videos about how to host a Zoom meeting, how to use Live OST board, how to enter a Zoom meeting etc to help you have a smooth experience during the event. So, stay tuned!
